The LMT Association organized this April the fourth complete Thru-Walk, from Marajayoun in the South to Qbaiyat in North Lebanon. The objective of this event is to promote the LMT and Lebanon as a world-class travel destination and consolidate support for the trail’s long-term protection. This unique annual event will always:

1. Remind the Lebanese people of the need to protect their heritage
2. Support rural economies in trailside communities
3. Promote responsible tourism as a viable economic activity

During the course of this 29-day journey, the LMTA and its partners did:

• Organize a Thru-Walk launch event in Marjayounn (April 1)
• Planed daily hikes covering all 26 sections of the LMT (one day per section)
• Provided food and lodging in local guesthouses
• Organized a Thru-Walk press conference in Qbaiyat (April 29)

  How can I join the Thru-Walk?

There are four ways to participate in this year's Thru-Walk:

• Complete thru-walk (29 days)
• Sectional hike (any number of days) 
• Weekend Hike (2 days and 2 nights on the LMT)
• Easter Weekend Hike (4 days and 4 nights on the LMT)

The Thru-Walk needs your support!  You can sponsor this unique event in many ways:

1. Sponsor a Thru-Hiker (including all services and sportswear)                     
2. Sponsor a Section-Hiker (at least 3 sections/days)                                                  
3. Sponsor a travel journalist and/or reporter                                                             
4. Sponsor an event (see calendar)
