How To Support LMT
     Education

Trail To Every Classroom (TTEC) is another flagship program at the LMTA. The program will train educators from primary and intermediary schools in a variety of trail-related subjects including: environment (plants, soil and water), urban planning, cultural heritage, responsible tourism, and civic responsibility. TTEC will produce a training kit that includes a training manual, maps, a digital photo gallery, interactive games, and a collection of LMT publications. The program will also plan and organize youth walks to promote cultural exchanges within Lebanon

     Conservation

Biological Corridor (BC), is an ambitious program to monitor biological and environmental changes along the 440 Km LMT corridor. Demography and climate change are putting a lot of pressure on our fragile ecosystems. Lebanon?s mountains, like many other ranges in the world are under threat. The BC program will help track and understand these changes to inform local authorities and policy makers to take active measures to halt and reverse these trends. Along the LMT corridor, we intend to monitor the flow and temperature of high-altitude springs, urban encroachment on the public domain, state of forest including fires and regeneration, endemic plant species, wildlife, and agricultural practices
